BUILDING hope

In September 2016, we launched Neon Life Church out of our local high school in Weatherford, TX. Since then we’ve seen hundreds of people saved, redeemed, set free, and now making a difference with their lives. We’re grateful for the numerous decisions people have made for Jesus—and it’s all been from a temporary location! We can only imagine what’s possible with a location we could call our own, a place where we’re no longer focused on a temporary setup but a place where lives are changed and sent out to reach the harvest—a place to call "Home". Our hope is that your heart is stirred like ours to make an eternal impact for God’s Kingdom!

The GOAL

The goal is to construct a 40k-50k sq. ft. facility, debt-free, with a budget of $15M that will reach our community, nation, and world with the hope-filled message of Jesus.

In 2020, Neon Life was given a 17.5-acre tract of land along Interstate 20 in the growing community of Brock, TX—less than 10 miles from Weatherford and Mineral Wells. It’s the perfect location to fulfill God’s vision of reaching our community, our nation, and our world!

The design

Each rendering illustrates the layout we hope to achieve through the financial generosity of our donors. These are conceptual plans and have the potential to change as each phase of the project develops.

Indoor and outdoor space designed to build community

Creating intentional spaces, both inside and outside, where people can gather, friendships can happen, and life change can take place is important in the design. We believe that people grow more in their faith and find freedom when they’re able to share and experience life together. Which is why we wanted to implement gathering areas like a fire pit, walking paths, outdoor seating areas, and a place for recreational activities. From the moment you drive onto the property, we want you to feel welcome.

The plan and details

We currently own 17.5 acres of land on I-20, 7 miles west of Weatherford. Since launching in 2016, our hope has always been to plant a life-giving church to reach the people of Brock, Weatherford, Mineral Wells, and the surrounding communities.

In the fall of 2024, we engaged the GFF Architecture Firm to not only provide us with conceptual renderings of our building vision but also continue the architectural floor space programming, engineering, and site work, as well as other pre-construction items we are working towards while we continue to believe in God’s timing on funding this project.

We intend to use all the property we have on site, whether that is indoor or outdoor space. Our hope is to give people the opportunity to come together not just on Sundays, but every day of the week—to give them a place and space to grow in their faith and build healthy relationships with each other.

Outside of the church, we will have plenty of parking, beautifully landscaped areas, a playground, multi-use athletic courts and activity areas, walking paths, fire pits, and gathering spaces for the community to come together in a safe and peaceful environment before and after church as well as any day throughout the week. 

Inside the building, we want you to continue to feel at home. Featured by multiple gathering spaces in the commons area, as well as a children’s wing that will be specifically designed with the safety and spiritual growth of your child in mind, leadership training areas, a hospitality room, a coffee and refreshment area, and more. Our plan is to design every square foot to bring people closer to God and a place they can build healthy relationships!

  • The short answer is no. We feel that generosity is contagious and people have a desire to be a part of something bigger than themselves. While membership is not required to give a monetary or non-monetary gift, we highly encourage you to see the vision of the church and get connected. People are the most important commodity in the kingdom of God, and we want you on our team! Learn more about our membership class. 

  • Yes, you absolutely can. You can use the building fund giving link to set up the amount you’d like to give and for how long. The benefit of committing a specific amount over a certain period of time would allow us to use it as leverage if we pursue a commercial loan. You can also view our giving page for more details about non-cash giving such as DAF, stocks, or in-kind donations. Our hope is that God would stir your heart with generosity, and we’re grateful for whatever amount you’re led to give.

  • Although it’s not our ideal plan, incurring a loan at the lowest interest rate possible is always an option. Any debt we take on will be backed by the consistent financial generosity of our donors. We will not over-leverage the church to make the building happen, but we will support the long-term pledges of our members and donors.

  • Our hope is to break ground as soon as possible, but breaking ground is dependent on the speed of generosity. While we are in a healthy financial position and have our land free of any debt/liabilities, we want this vision to be supported by those who have a desire to build God’s Kingdom. As funding increases, we will continue to move forward with floor plans, engineering, platting, permitting, and all other pre-construction items associated with the building project.

  • We are currently in the design phase with an architecture group to help us determine the best use of space while also planning for future growth. The current estimate is between 40-50k square feet. This includes a sanctuary for approximately 500+, as well as spacious common areas, restrooms, office and administrative space, training areas, and plenty of room for our kids to learn and grow. We want the focus of Neon Life Church to be a gathering place for our community with plenty of room to grow.

  • Yes, hard-working entrepreneurs are the fabric of our local communities, and we welcome any donated trade skills or services towards the building project. (For questions or to donate construction trades or services, please complete this form.)

    From a tax perspective, we will recognize these services at a fair market value and provide you with in-kind donation paperwork for your year-end taxes. 

    We will use a bid system where you will get the plans for NLC and bid the work so we can accurately assess the fair market value of your donation. Please also understand that the vision and planning of the Neon Life Church facility is a carefully crafted vision and will be executed by qualified vendors. Government guidance on in-kind donations specifically states that any donation with the expectation of dictation on the use of your trade cannot be treated as a write-off. We understand that giving monetarily may be harder than keeping a crew busy during a slow week or month; this is the perfect opportunity to get a market value tax break while using your company’s trades and/or services to help build God’s Kingdom.

  • We are steadfast and determined to move God’s Kingdom forward by focusing on God first and people second. We currently operate on about 70% of our monthly giving. While excess funds will continue to go towards reaching our community, nation, and world, we also continue to keep in mind the goal of building our new church home. While we currently have a building fund to donate to, we also allocate as much of the general tithes and giving as possible toward the building project.

  • Neon Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and would qualify for any corporate matching gift programs.
